The XMLA endpoint is in Beta. To enable for your organization,
please contact support@honeydew.ai.
Honeydew exposes an XMLA
endpoint that speaks the SOAP/XMLA protocol. Each Honeydew domain appears
as a multidimensional cube; entities are exposed as dimensions, attributes
as hierarchies, and metrics as measures. Clients query the cube with
MDX.
Supported clients
The XMLA interface is currently supported only with Microsoft Excel.
See Excel for
connection setup, semantic model mapping, performance, and limitations.
Connecting with other clients is not supported.
Endpoint
The shared XMLA endpoint is https://xmla.honeydew.cloud/xmla.
If your organization uses a custom hostname for the XMLA endpoint, you can
locate it in the Honeydew UI, under the XMLA section in Settings.
Authentication
Clients authenticate with a Honeydew username and password or an
API key. Organizations using Active Directory can
also enable Windows Authentication (Kerberos)
(Beta), letting domain users connect with their Windows login.
